Is Abortion My Only Option if I Don’t Have Any Money?
Finding out you’re pregnant when money is tight can feel like the walls are closing in. The financial pressure alone can make abortion feel like the only realistic path forward. But before making any decision, it’s worth knowing that more support may be available than you think.
At Hope Women’s Center, the team is here to walk with you, offer support, and help you explore what could be available to you.

Financial Pressure Doesn’t Have to Drive the Decision
When finances are a concern, it’s easy to feel like the decision has already been made for you. But your circumstances right now may not necessarily reflect what’s possible down the road. Resources, support systems, and opportunities can shift.
A helpful starting point is asking yourself: if money weren’t part of the equation, what would feel right? Taking even a little time to think through your options without the weight of financial stress can open your perspective in ways you might not have considered.
What Hope Women’s Center Offers
Hope Women’s Center provides free pregnancy testing using a self-administered urine test. The team also offers options consultations, where an advocate will sit down with you to talk through parenting, adoption, and abortion in a respectful, judgment-free setting.
For women who want to explore parenting, the Earn While You Learn (EWYL) program offers classes where you can gain skills and earn “Mommy Money” for essentials like diapers, formula, maternity clothes, and larger items like a crib or car seat. Additional material support, including maternity clothing and items for children up to size 2T, is also available to help meet everyday needs as they arise.
Hope Women’s Center can also provide referrals to local and state resources, including financial assistance, food support, and community programs, and can help guide you through enrolling in available services.
Adoption Is Also Worth Knowing About
Adoption is sometimes overlooked, but it is worth taking time to consider. It allows you to make a thoughtful plan for your child’s future while also considering your own circumstances. There are different types of adoption plans, and you can have a say in many aspects of the process, including the level of contact you may want in the future.
While Hope Women’s Center is not a licensed child-placing agency, an advocate can talk with you about what adoption could look like and answer your initial questions. If you are interested in learning more, we can connect you with reputable, licensed adoption coordinators who will guide you through the process.
You Are Not Alone in This
Talking with someone outside your immediate circle can help. At Hope Women’s Center, advocates are here to listen and support you as you explore your options, and support is available if you’ve had a past abortion experience.
If you’re unsure what to do next, reach out to Hope Women’s Center to schedule a confidential appointment and take your next step.
Hope Women’s Center does not provide or refer for abortions.
