What Is Earn While You Learn?
Earn While You Learn is a nationally acclaimed program from BrightCourse. Through short, easy lessons, expecting mothers learn about their bodies during pregnancy and what to expect as their baby develops.
Each class is free and covers everything from “Eating for Two” to “Getting Your Baby to Sleep.” Here’s a list of some of the classes you can take:

- Infant Hygiene
- Successful Breastfeeding
- Car Seat Safety
- Quality Child Care
- Toddler Safety
- Co-Parenting

Are You Ready to Earn Some “Mommy Money”?
With each class you complete, you earn $2.00 in “Mommy Money” (not actual cash). Complete the corresponding homework, and you receive an additional dollar. You can purchase baby items such as clothes, diapers, wipes, formula, baby food, or other larger necessities.
You can also use your “Mommy Money” to purchase items in our Maternity Closet. It’s stocked with maternity clothes, personal hygiene products, and literature on pregnancy and parenting.
How Does It Work?
Contact our center to sign up for classes. We pair each client with a staff member or trained volunteer who meets with you every two weeks.
Your advocate recommends classes that specifically apply to your needs. You can take as many classes as you like and even earn brand-new items like strollers, cribs, and car seats.
After you have your baby, return to the center for a complimentary baby gift. Additionally, you can continue taking classes as your child grows, preparing you for each new stage of development. We even offer life skills classes such as “Budgeting 101,” “Career or Job,” and “Preparing for the Interview.”
